Kindly help with the creation of evangelical children video literature
Appeal Never EndsAppeal End Method
Many evangelical Christians eventually come to loath public or secular television for personal holiness’ sake – and many who are parents denounce it as potentially harmful for their children as well. Unfortunately, many children video media touted as Christian-based are materially compromised (vile, heretic or vain) and thereby equally harmful. The popular likes of SuperBook and VeggieTales (guilty of being vastly diluted with vain and evil appetites of a fallen man, amongst other barrenness) – the same which is the case with several others on internet sharing or streaming services such as YouTube, PureFlix, GodTube, Netflix, etc.
But is it that we reckon taking advantage of this art-type as not our portion? Or do we consider ourselves simply helpless, and unable to curate of ourselves a library of wholesome video media, to help our children pass the time in a manner that is above all complimentary to the godly-upbringing mandate we have of God? Those that should help keep them safely preoccupied as we get some work or rest done?
When the grace of God took hold of me to the saving of my person in 2009, I was pursuing a certain commercial degree, which I had amongst others highly esteemed as gain – that suddenly appeared as dung and needed to be forsaken – that I might instead seek more of my newly found Savior, as well as look up to him for new future plans. About five years later – when I had been the subject of much of the working of His nurturing grace through Christ (with much study, growing and praying), I felt moved to take upon my shoulders the creation of wholesome children video literature – to try and fill the noted gap.
Particular as I took notice of how there essentially seemed to exist no curated library of worthy children video media that are evangelical – rightly dividing the word of truth and ever seeking true edification (through virtuous story telling) above all other attainable good. Video media that are created by men after God’s own heart (zealous about his holiness). How it instead seemed our dear children are essentially left to the said bankrupt media (void of godly virtue) – created by pagans, Christian toddlers or ignorant professors of Christianity.
But when it became apparent that I had an under supply of resources necessary for the work, I sought to first compile a simple portfolio – for to serve as a letter of commendation. One that would hopefully communicate the soundness of doctrine, as well as the earnestness of the overall work purposed to any considerate and enabled saint. Who could then hopefully consider giving towards the same in the name of ministry support. But this too could not pan out quite as hoped. No – great carefulness over family needs would often arise, leading to numerous breaks from the work.
As a results, a couple of projects were abandoned while some others could not perfected. Until the whole was aggravated by our recent relocation (to a leased premises) last year – which left us in much carefulness for several months following. While we may be gradually recovering, we still need a more spacious property if business income could at all help it. And unfortunately, I still do not think I can ‘effectively’ juggle both business and ministry without essentially breaking down at some point.
Therefore if I have hereon spoken a language that certain financially enabled saints understand, that as many such saints might accordingly consider giving toward this help appeal in the name of ministry support (which I understand is encouraged as virtuous in the Holy Scriptures). And I, with any receivable funds, purpose finance the creation of custom premium 3D assets that should help commend the visual quality of the video media, hire real human narration instead of the Ivona TTS engine (I have used hitherto) as well as cover any other complementary expense that should help me create the very first one (to a few) complete five minutes or so animations that should hopefully best commend the work for further possible support.
The long-term hope otherwise being that: once the work should thus gain a fair passage to many targeted hearts, that it should then be able to self-sustain through offerings receivable from as many enabled saints who should find it of evangelical value to (their) children – yes, I do not purpose to charge a penny for it (and I cannot sell ads on site nor source funds through popular Christian crowdfunding platforms – nor as yet from worthy charity foundations). Yes saints are more than welcome to direct me to any other worthy sources of ministry funds that I may have missed. Meanwhile, the LORD remember any hand that gives from a heart that loves him in truth – in Christ Jesus’ name, Amen.
Added a preview render of a short animation WIP
The features video is a preview render of the animation project accounted here: https://videos.likechrist.co/2019/09/12/a-formal-animated-clip-on-recently-acquired-assets-wip/ Once final version should be rendered, I expect to publish here https://videos.likechrist.co/ as well as replace this said preview version therewith. The render was done at 1920×1080 (only 30% though) on AWS’ EC2 machines. Yes an evident success for both results and cost (about $1.5) following the failure here: https://communications.likechrist.co/2019/07/25/went-to-test-out-aws-ec2-in-hope-for-a-low-cost-render-farm-without-success/
I felt it was necessary to do a full preview first – to allow a proper edit attempts for the final render. I may add mouth sync prior to doing the final render and this certainly appear to can be very complementary – especially for little Betty (as his dad’s mouth is mustache covered).
